Welcome back! This is Episode 18 of the Daily Buddhism, and I’m your host, Brian Schell.

Weekly Announcements:

I have just a couple of quick announcements today.  First, I am now on Twitter. I am not completely sure what it’s good for yet, but I’m in the process f playing around with it. If you’d like, you can go to

http://twitter.com/DailyBuddhism

And click on “Follow” to follow me. I’ll do a return follow on anyone who does.  If you don’t know what Twitter is, it’s something like a huge message board or chat room with many very tiny messages. It’s hard to describe. But from their FAQ:

What is it?

Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

Again, it’s just something I’m playing with. Let’s give it a try and see if we can have some fun with it.

Next, an update on the donation situation:

I did get a few more donations this week, and I can finally say the studio microphone I bought back around episode 7 is now paid off. For the next Daily Buddhism “investment,” I want to get a voice mail phone number so you guys can call in with your questions and I can play your comments “on the air.”  I think it would make the show more entertaining, and would allow more people to ask questions; not everyone wants to type up an email question.  If you’ve thought about sending in a donation, it’s not too late to help out.  Thanks for all your support so far, and keep up the good work.

And now, on with the show!
